While the world comes crashing to an end -- US (MIC) continues the longest war of its history, Israel in a proxy war with Iran with US (MIC) encouragement, Occupy beaten down at home and NDAA instituted, daily atrocities in Syria, and our CIA's drone terrorism abroad -- what is it meant to teach us? "Might makes right!"
Hannah's dad used a deadly weapon to intimidate his child, shooting her computer to get her to submit. We all understand his frustration at Facebook and other spying rings. But his machismo makes us wonder what's next for her -- running away to join the strip tease circus, pole dancer to teach poppa? Most parental abuse is subtle and perhaps unintended, but its effects are far reaching.
Better yet is the fact that many American parents, particularly religious ones, are cheering the father. We are all so abusive as standard parenting practice that we applaud his moxie and gun skills. This happens in the US but rarely goes national or viral like Hannah's dad and his handgun.
From the punk classic "Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death"
"Some clown in Sacramento was dragged into court. He shot his lawnmower. He said it wouldn't start. Might makes right. It's the American way. They fined him 50 dollars and sent him on his way. You know, some people don't take no sh*t. Maybe if they did, they'd have half a brain left," the Dead Kennedys recount in "A Child and His Lawnmower."
Hannah, be good to your parents. Hannah's parents, see the error of your ways and give Hannah something to respect before it's too late. You have to know you're on the wrong track when Child Services has to investigate but the police who come with them give you a wink and a nod for using a high caliber firearm and dumb-dumb bullets to discipline your 15 year old daughter.

The Epidemic
Why are white American males inclined to molest children and then become horrifically violent? The molested molest and, filled with rage, act out further. It might be something about our culture. It is of course not limited to white Christian Americans men.
