Chem Lab: Scientists are Learning HOW Weed Causes Paranoia
Hotei Bodhisattva rolls his eyes
In the January [2008] issue of Neuropharmacology, which happens to have a marijuana theme, two teams of researchers tried to explain what causes some people to feel paranoid when they smoke weed.

If you think it’s impossible to have too much of a good thing -- think again.
In the first sentence of their research paper, a group of Italian scientists explained that low doses of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) -- the psychoactive chemical in marijuana -- tend to be calming, while large amounts have the opposite effect.

What they wanted to know is: Which parts of the brain cause those moods?

Daniela Parolaro and her team at the University of Insubria were keen on finding an answer. More

Why?

Components of this plant can cure cancer. But official medicine, deriving most of its money from the pharmaceutical industry (chemo) and through surgery and carcinogenic radiation, will not stand for it.

Why does a plant, cannabis, used as a medicine cause paranoia? This plant is manipulated: THC levels are increased to make it a useless "drug" that suppresses consciousness; levels of CBD, the shamanistic mind-expanding and potentially healing component, are decreased to further make this a harmful plant.

() Weedmaps.com takes a closer look at the benefits of cannabidiol (CBD) and how it is synthesized in the cannabis plant.

The industrial hemp plant, which is cannabis without cannabinoids, is one of the most useful plants on the planet. And this is no secret recent discovery. Our forbears used it as durable canvas sails, rope, medicine, paper, and food. (The raw seeds are high in protein and one of the very few plant sources of balanced Omega essential fatty acids 3, 6, and 9, a much safer and plentiful source than fish carcasses).
