Narrated by Elliott Gould, "The Soyuz Conspiracy" includes never before seen footage.
The filmmakers discovered new evidence revealing a scandalous conspiracy surrounding the death of one of the old Soviet Union's most famous cosmonauts, Col. Vladimir Komarov.
When the new Soyuz rocket was launched into space on April 23, 1967, Komarov's spaceship faced catastrophic failures. It eventually lost power, and Komarov was killed on impact.

The government was not about to admit failure on the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Soviet Union. Instead, it covered up the entire incident by saying that Komarov's mission was a complete success and explained his death by saying he was later killed in a bus crash.
Only Yuri Gagarin, Komarov's best friend, was strong enough to force the Soviet government to tell the truth about what really happened to Komarov.
